Unreal Engine: Build a Turret Shooter with Blueprints
This hands-on course guides learners through the process of designing, developing, and deploying a turret-based shoot-em-up game using Unreal Engine 4 Blueprints—without writing a single line of code. The course begins with project setup, turret mechanics, projectile systems, and enemy behaviors. Learners will then implement core gameplay systems like player health, damage feedback, and enemy wave logic. Advancing further, the course teaches how to construct functional UI elements including HUDs, pause menus, game-over screens, and main menus. Finally, learners will integrate audio, configure game levels, and package their project into a playable standalone build. By the end of this course, learners will have not only created a fully functional action game but also gained the confidence to apply, modify, and extend gameplay features using Blueprint scripting in their own projects.

Build Testable Python Packages for AI
This course helps learners transform scattered AI preprocessing code into clean, reusable, and testable Python utilities that meet modern MLOps expectations. Across two focused lessons, learners explore advanced programming constructs—such as generators, decorators, and structured logging—that make ML workflows modular and maintainable. They then apply software-engineering principles to design standards-compliant Python packages that integrate smoothly into real AI pipelines. Through videos, readings, hands-on exercises, and a guided Coursera Lab, learners practice refactoring preprocessing steps, structuring packages using current Python packaging standards, managing dependencies, and writing unit tests with pytest. By the end of the course, learners will have the skills to build and test a functional Python package suitable for internal PyPI publishing and production-ready machine learning work.

Reconstructing America's Story
America has long defined itself as a country born out of a rebellion against tyranny with freedom and equality as its founding principles. But a closer examination of the historical record reveals problems with the standard American story – how can we be a country built on freedom and equality when our Founding Fathers embedded inequality in our founding documents? Guided by the expertise of constitutional law scholar Kermit Roosevelt, this course invites students to critically examine the narratives that have shaped America, from the celebrated to the contentious. Through a deep exploration of foundational moments and overlooked histories, it lays bare the myths and realities that compose the American experience. With a focus on the transformative periods of American history, such as the drafting of the Declaration of Independence, the Civil War, and the civil rights movement, the course scrutinizes the construction and impact of national stories. It questions how these narratives have served to unite or divide, to obscure truths, and to perpetuate injustices. By unearthing the diverse and often silenced voices from America’s past and present, Roosevelt encourages a more inclusive understanding of what it means to be American.
