Analyze Predictor Impact Using Regression in Minitab
By the end of this course, learners will be able to analyze how multiple predictors influence a response variable, interpret regression outputs using Minitab, compare alternative regression models, and translate statistical findings into actionable business insights. Learners will develop the ability to evaluate predictor significance, visualize relationships, and select appropriate regression models to support data-driven decision-making. This course provides a practical, hands-on approach to regression analysis through a real-world Tech Mahindra case study. Rather than focusing on theory alone, learners work step-by-step through an end-to-end analytics project—starting from problem framing and exploratory analysis to model refinement and comparison. Using Minitab, learners gain experience interpreting regression coefficients, p-values, and visual diagnostics such as scatter plots to understand predictor–response relationships. What makes this course unique is its strong business orientation and project-based structure. Learners not only build and compare linear and quadratic regression models but also learn how to justify model choices based on both statistical performance and business relevance. This course is ideal for professionals and students seeking to strengthen applied regression skills and confidently use Minitab for real-world analytical challenges.

Structural Racism: Causes of Health Inequities in the U.S.
Racial health disparities - differences in health outcomes based on race - are rampant in the U.S., and many incorrectly assume these are due to differences in behavior or genetics. To understand these differences, and ultimately identify solutions to eliminate these disparities, we need to dig deeper and look at the root causes. We need to examine how our socio-political institutions have racial inequities embedded within their policies and practices. We need to re-examine history to learn how and why race was created and how it was used to advance the interests of whites. We need to examine how state violence is selectively used to reinforce racial inequities. Learners in this course will be guided through these examinations in order to gain a deeper understanding of why health disparities exist in the U.S. and what will be necessary to eliminate these disparities. Answering questions pertaining to course materials will give learners the opportunity to self-reflect in an effort to deepen their thinking about health inequities. Additionally, course assignments will give learners the opportunity to practice advocacy skills through the creation of writing products intended to convince decision-makers to change their perspective. To fix the problem we need to accurately diagnose it, and this course will help learners diagnose the root causes of the problem. By the end of this course, learners will be able to: - Describe the impact of structural racism on individuals. - Identify policies and events that shaped current racial health inequities. - Discuss how historical events contributed to current racial health inequities. - Describe how inequities in institutions like schools, businesses, and policing contribute to current racial health inequities. - Apply public writing strategies to work against racial inequities in health.

The Solar System
This course provides an overview of what we know about the Solar System: how it began and evolved, its components and their properties, and how these elements interact as a system. However, much of our knowledge remains incomplete, and so unanswered questions and mysteries figure prominently in the story. This course addresses our scientific understanding of the Solar System, how we know what we know, and many hotly debated questions at the cutting edge of scientific research. Each week features original essays by Neil deGrasse Tyson and Denton Ebel, two distinguished curators of the American Museum of Natural History. These essays provide a foundation for the overarching question posed during each week and include links to related websites. In addition, each week includes at least one video that uses the NASA-funded OpenSpace software to complement the essays with data visualizations narrated by AMNH’s Carter Emmart, Director of Astrovisualizaton, and Jaqueline Faherty, Senior Scientist and Senior Education Manager.
