This course provides a comprehensive exploration of renewable power projects with a focus on hydropower engineering. The course content incudes history of Hydropower Engineering, Hydropower Projects in India, key considerations in selecting location for hydroelectric projects. It elaborates on Hydrology, Stream Networks and Hydrometry, Water Availability and Design Flood Studies, Hydrograph and Flood Routing and Hydropower Potential and Efficiency. Geological and Geotechnical Considerations for hydropower projects are elaborated. The course delves into Construction Planning and Methods for Hydropower projects.
